This page covers who owns what in Gem TD, its origins as a tribute to a classic game genre, and how to raise a copyright or other intellectual-property concern.

1. Ownership of the game

Except for third-party materials and the trademarks of others, the Gem TD game, its code, art, audio, and other assets are owned by the operator, Jose Yebenes, and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Your licence to play does not transfer any of these rights — see the Terms of Service.

2. A tribute, made independently

Gem TD is inspired by the classic “Gem TD” style of Warcraft III custom maps. It is an independent project, built from scratch. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Blizzard Entertainment or Microsoft. “Warcraft” is a trademark of its respective owner. 3. Respecting others’ rights

I respect the intellectual-property rights of others and expect users to do the same. If you believe something in Gem TD or on this site infringes your copyright or other rights, please tell me so I can review it.

4. Filing a copyright complaint (takedown notice)

Send a notice to [email protected] with enough detail to act on it. In the style of a DMCA notice, please include:

your contact details (name, email, and, if relevant, the rights holder you represent);
identification of the copyrighted work or right you say is infringed;
identification of the specific material and where it appears (a URL or clear description);
a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent, or the law;
a statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them; and
your physical or electronic signature.

I will review valid notices and remove or disable access to infringing material where appropriate.

5. Counter-notice

If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to [email protected] including: your contact details; identification of the removed material and where it appeared; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification; your consent to jurisdiction as required by applicable law; and your signature. I may restore the material where the law allows.

6. Repeat infringers

In appropriate cases, access for those who repeatedly infringe may be terminated, consistent with the Acceptable Use Policy.
